I booked this hotel for a short stay while I waited for my flight to Japan. The hostel had a café, but most of the customers seemed to be enjoying smoking ****, creating a laid-back atmosphere. Everyone appeared to be having their own peaceful time. The hostel itself was fantastic, offering all the basic facilities, and the rooms were very clean. Overall, it was a great experience at the hostel.

1st - Cleanliness
The room itself was spick and span, except for the balcony which was full of dust. The toilet was fine and has bidet (which was a plus!)
2nd - Location
Not too far from the beach and other attractions (or restaurant), around 10 to 15 minutes walk. If you don't want to get soak in sweat at 2 pm, please consider renting a motorcycle or you can also take their van (yes, this hotel do provide a van that can drop you off at their other hotel which is closer to the beach but pay attention to the schedule at reception).
3rd - Service
The receptionists were amazing! They were friendly and willing to help and answer my questions. Always gave me the best of their smile whenever I look at them! Here's a story, they even came to my room at 12 am just because I got stuck in the toilet (although they took 15 minutes to get in the room and another 1 hour to open the door, I'm still grateful that they still help!).
4th - Ameneties
For a place this affordable, I did not expect much but they have everything a hotel should have as amenities! You can also call them and ask for things like face towel, etc. if you need it. Their responsiveness to my call when I needed some extra shampoo definitely deserved a star (they came to my room faster when I asked for shampoo than when I got stuck in bathroom 😑)!
overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Location & Ambience:
Nestled in a quiet backstreet, this hotel offers a peaceful stay away from traffic noise, making it a great choice for those who prefer a more relaxed environment.
Check-in & Hospitality:
Check-in was smooth and effortless. The receptionist was exceptionally kind—while we were waiting for our Grab taxi, she offered us cold bottled water, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
Room & Amenities:
• The room was compact yet sufficient, providing all the essentials for a comfortable stay.
• A lovely touch was the complimentary in-room amenities, including bowls, spoons, forks, coffee sachets, instant noodles, and candies, neatly packed in a see-through plastic bag.
• The shared kitchen on the second floor was an impressive feature—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with:
• Three cooking stations
• Bowls, pans, cutlery, and utensils
• A fridge stocked with drinking water
• A variety of cooking sauces and seasonings for guests who want to prepare meals
• From the signs on the walls, it appears that the hotel also accommodates long-term guests and students, adding to its welcoming and community-like atmosphere.
Accessibility & Transport:
The only downside is that the hotel is somewhat far from major tourist attractions. We relied on Grab for transportation, with fares ranging between 150-300 THB per trip, depending on the time of day. However, this is not a fault of the hotel—it’s simply something to consider when choosing accommodation in Bangkok.
Final Verdict:
Despite being a bit far from the main sights, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The friendly staff, well-maintained facilities, and peaceful environment made for a great stay. We were very happy with our choice and would highly recommend it to budget travelers and long-term visitors looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Bangkok.

Nearby attractions include Chatuchak Park, Rot Fai Park, Huai Khwang Night Market, Ganesh Temple, Jodd Fairs, Liab Duan Dan Neramit Night Markets.
Facilities include free DIY breakfast, free luggage storage (up to 1 month), daily housekeeping, gender-separated shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen, common areas, coin-operated laundry, and key card access. Towels are free in private rooms; dorm towel rental and deposit. Fees limited parking is available for dorm guests. The property is secured with CCTV and a night security guard after reception hours.
We also offer fun activities such as a weekly BBQ party (Saturday nights), a free Thai cooking class (Sunday afternoons), and seasonal events like Songkran, Halloween, Loy Krathong, Christmas, and New Year celebrations.

The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the hotel’s breakfast system was inconvenient as guests had to prepare their own food. With a high number of guests in the morning, long queues formed, leaving little time to eat. As a result, I ended up missing breakfast. This is something the hotel should improve to provide a more convenient experience for guests.

This unassuming hotel offers a simple, authentic experience. Its location in a bustling Thai neighborhood is perfect for immersing yourself in local culture. While the rooms are clean and cozy, they're on the smaller side. The staff is friendly, though service can be a bit slow at times. Despite its modest offerings, the hotel's charm lies in its simplicity and convenient location. A good choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking an authentic Thai experience

Great
Sstyle RyukyuIn February 2024, I had the opportunity to stay at a hotel conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk from a subway station and about 15 minutes on foot from the MAKKASAN Airport Rail Link station. The check-in and check-out processes were notably smooth, with no issues encountered.
The room I stayed in was a single type, which was exceptionally clean. The bed was elevated and required climbing up stairs, which felt precarious when returning in a tipsy state. The air conditioning was comfortable, although the absence of a refrigerator was notable. Additionally, the stairs leading to the room were quite steep and challenging.
Amenities and services included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but no toothbrush was provided. A hairdryer was readily available in the room. The staff, particularly the female staff members, were exceptionally friendly and quick-witted, efficiently understanding my needs despite my limited proficiency in English and Thai.
The hotel offered beer for sale, which was convenient as it eliminated the need to visit a convenience store. Considering the pricing, I found the hotel to offer significant value for the cost.
Overall, my stay was memorable, especially due to the always smiling and welcoming female receptionist. This hotel is highly recommended for its exceptional staff, convenience, and value for money, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking for an affordable and comfortable stay.
AAnonymous UserIt's a well located places in a cheaper area. Backside a Muslim locality with mosque etc. But most customers staying here are Chinese. And no social atmosphere. The Chinese are mostly on the phone and some very new travellers that behave strange or may be cannot speak English. So, unfortunately not a very social place and can get too noisy when Chinese families or groups come. Okay for 17-18 year old first timers from china who blindly follow their app recommendations. The service is good and the cleaning staff is hardworking. They need to have a coffee machine or proper espresso. Those coffee sachets taste horrible and sugary.

TTellaThe hotel is clean, large and conveniently located. Easy to find.
The surrounding area may not be very nice but we did not feel unsafe walking to the Grand Palace or pier to get the boat.
The reception is friendly and come out to greet you, offer to help with luggage and see you off when you leave - a very personal touch, thank you.
I would easily stay in this hotel again and highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserI absolutely love Tiang Capsule! It's consistently one of my top picks for hostels, especially when traveling solo. The capsules are incredibly clean and provide a perfect balance of privacy and social interaction.
The cleanliness is top-notch, which is a major plus for me. The staff does a fantastic job keeping everything spotless. I also appreciate the social atmosphere. The common areas are inviting and make it easy to meet other travelers.
The only minor drawbacks are the limited space within the capsules and the potential for some noise from other guests. However, these are minor inconveniences compared to the overall comfort and convenience of the hostel.
Highly recommended for solo travelers!”

TTommy1990S1 Hostel Bangkok is in the Sathorn area, surrounded by many office buildings. It is located on Ngam Duphli Alley, just a 10-minute walk to Lumphini MRT Station and One Bangkok. Since this is a business district, there are many travelers from different countries, including both tourists and business visitors. Because of this, there are many restaurants nearby, such as Thai food, Japanese food, Isaan food, Mala Shabu, and bars with live music and sports broadcasts. There is also a 7-Eleven and massage shops in the area.
Why we chose this hotel:
We picked this hotel because we are familiar with the location. It is easy to get to popular street food areas in Bangkok, like Banthat Thong Road and Chinatown (Yaowarat). From the outside, the hotel looks small with only a few rooms. Since it is called a “hostel,” we first thought it might not be very private. But after checking online, we found out they have private rooms with attached bathrooms at a very reasonable price. So, we booked a twin room with a private bathroom.
Hotel facilities & room details:
There is a small parking area for 4-5 motorbikes in front of the hotel. The lobby has a small check-in counter and sells drinks like water, soft drinks, and local beer. There is a common area where guests can relax, chat, and eat. To enter the room area, you need a keycard, making it more secure. Our room was in the building behind the lobby. The room is compact, so if you have a big suitcase, it might feel a bit small. Inside the room, there is a TV, work desk, and refrigerator. If you need hot water for tea or coffee, you have to go to the kitchen on the first floor, where there is a kettle and microwave. The room has a small window near the sink, but if you like big windows with a view, this might not be ideal.
Security note: The door lock is only on the doorknob, so if you need extra security, you may need to take extra precautions.
Overall impression:
We think S1 Hostel Bangkok is a great value for the price. The hotel is in the city center, making it easy to travel around by car, motorbike, or MRT subway. There are also many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and massage shops nearby, creating a lively atmosphere. If we have business in the Sathorn area again, we would definitely stay here again.

JJo YiKinnon has a homely feeling to it, and I recommend it for digital nomads who plan to stay longer periods because:
1. They have an in-house kitchen, and most items on their menu is only 60 THB. There’s also a fridge for all guests to use, as long as you label your food accordingly. It’s also very common for the guests here to order food delivery.
2. There are multiple working spaces here. The one shown in my picture is the “common” working area, but I believe the room with the grey room in the same picture leads to a private room (I guess you can take meetings here, idk how soundproofed it is). There’s also a TV room upstairs if you want a more relaxed environment.
3. I love their bathrooms, because there is a huge wall shelf with many compartments, so most people just leave their toiletries there. I really dislike having to carry my toiletries to the toilet every time I shower, so this was a huge bonus! It’s also very spacious compared to the bathrooms in other hostels. The cubicles are comfortably wide as well, with sufficient hooks and even a rack to place your things!
One negative thing to comment is that there is a rather huge gap between the edge of the bed and the wall (refer to picture). If you’re someone who moves around a lot when you’re sleeping, you might accidentally push your stuff and it might fall down to the bed below lol. It didn’t happen to me but just be careful where you place your stuff and you’ll be fine :)
Location-wise, there’s a 7Eleven, a massage parlour, and plenty of eateries within a few minutes walk. Based on Google Maps there should be both MRT and BTS stations within 10-15 minutes walk, but I did not take either of them during my stay here so I cannot comment on whether they are easy to find.

11WanderAwayI recently enjoyed another delightful stay at Yakthai Poshtel, marking my fourth visit to this charming establishment. I checked in at 1:30am and was warmly greeted by Wishai, the evening front desk staff member, who made the late check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The front daytime desk staff, Pan and the newly hired Beau, were exceptionally friendly and helpful during my check-out, leaving a positive lasting impression. Peiw, the housekeeper, ensured that everything was immaculately clean, maintaining the high standards I’ve come to expect here. The poshtel offers private rooms with shared toilets and showers, and the added comfort of being able to control your own air conditioning made my stay even more enjoyable.
Yakthai Poshtel also features a small, cozy café downstairs where you can buy coffees and teas, and that serves a simple free breakfast for guests. I appreciated the convenience of having souvenirs available for purchase and the unique option to rent traditional Thai costumes for events or memorable photos. The poshtel's location is ideal, situated in a quiet area directly across from the stunning Wat Ratchabophit temple. Each stay reaffirms my decision to keep returning, as the friendly and helpful staff truly make Yakthai Poshtel feel like a home away from home.

GGuest UserThe landlady is very kind. The double bed room on the 3rd floor is quite spacious. There is only one light. No deposit is required. The air conditioner is very cool. The environment is clean. It is a 10-minute walk to Mrt Wat Mangkon (blue line). The sign at the door is small and has OYO written in red letters. It is soundproof. Bo Hui heard next door, no toilet paper was provided, take a Bolt taxi from here to Bts Asok station THB134, the snacks in Chinatown are really expensive.
