Awful customer service . Staff member anthony heath was awfully rude to us, the way he spoke was disgusting and he was rude to us aswell . We couldn’t believe it we where greeted by a much friendly ginger man who was very nice and explained the situation to us! Anthony heath should not be working in this pub at 16!!!!!!!!!!! Especially with manors like that .

Very impressed! Stayed one night in the annexe. Large double room with big walk in shower. Clean, comfortable and with all the amenities you would expect. Really quiet as away from the main pub. Felt safe and secure too! Can't fault it really and would be happy to book again!

Pub serves standard fare food but the drinks selection willl take some beating. The location is very central to the main square where there are oyjer pubs restraunts and shops, righy outside the hotels is Jeera an Indian restraunt serving very reasonible priced quality meals

Food was absolutely dreadful, Came to us cold, Had to send it back and it was still cold when we had it for the second time, Would not recommend eating at the George in Brecon. Certain members of the staff are rude. Not a very enjoyable experience for us! Absolutely terrible. Plus the food tasted like soap and made me and my family sick

Stayed here for one night the room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Comfy bed and nice selection of tea coffee and biscuits. Nice clean bathroom and towels. Breakfast was lovely, especially the poached eggs. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here overnight on Saturday 29th July 2023 whilst visiting the Brecon Beacons training for our charity trekking trip over the Alps. Stayed in Room 6. I was a nice size, 2 big front windows, very comfy bed, had extra pillows, hairdryer, iron etc and was spotlessly clean. Nice sized bathroom and big shower area with plently of hot water and again spotless. Considering it is a "Wetherspoons' pub essentially, open til after midnight and it was a busy weekend - there was very little noise to be heard from downstairs or from patrons tripping to the bathrooms. Even with the 2 bedroom windows open it wasn't noisy outside. All in all a decent nights sleep. OK so evening dinner is not gourmet cuisine - but to be fair we were hungry from the mountains, the price is cheap and it included a pint of beer - so 2 meals and 4 pints under £29 - not complaining at that. Good rage of ales and ciders - Suggest the Leffe and Rutland Beast as they were really decent. Also unlimited teas, coffees and hot chocolates for only £1.45 Breakfast was much better and quite tasty, eggs cooked to order and as requested, nice sausage (for a chain) and decent bacon with plenty of toast. Cant go wrong for the price. All staff were friendly and attentive and helped find suitable (free) parking - as there is none on site. Thanks Dewi and Andy.

Stayed here as all the hotels nearer the Hay Festival were booked/extortionate. Couldn’t be more pleased, professional staff booked us in and explained everything we needed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean , tea/coffee and biscuits all provided. We had an evening meal and breakfast which was delicious and tremendous value. Definitely recommend this hotel, thanks to all the staff.

Didn't stay here just called in for a meal. The 'gormet' steaks were tough, tasteless and cold! The waitress said' the suppliers sometimes send good steaks and sometimes they send poor ones'! Amazing! We settled for two burgers which were again cold and tasteless! If you go to Brecon keep away from the half empty excuse for a food outlet!
