Colonna Palace Hotel

I believe this hotel would be great if it was 50 years ago. Of course, if you want a safe place to stay in Rome, I think there is no other place besides this one, because the hotel is facing the Parliament Building. When the Parliament has a meeting, you will see the parliamentarians in suits coming in and out, and all the passages are guarded by soldiers and police. When you enter the hotel, they will ask you where you are going, and you will be allowed to enter only if you show your hotel room card. Haha, you say it is safe or not. We stayed for three days and felt like a national leader going through a bunch of police, soldiers, plainclothes and checkpoints every day. Another major feature of the hotel is the top terrace for breakfast, but the space is limited and you need to get up early or go late. It's good to buy some wine and snacks from the supermarket at night. At least there are not many people up there at night in June. The scenery is endless! There is nothing much to say about the room. It is relatively old, but the bed and towels are still comfortable and clean. If you go on a trip, you will only use the room to sleep. Looking at the above two advantages, the other ones can be ignored. The location is invincible, and it is very convenient to eat, drink and go shopping around various attractions. When taking a taxi, please note that the hotel is restricted before 6pm, which means that cars without special license plates cannot enter. However, you can usually get a taxi if you walk outside. The most convenient way is to take a taxi outside the Uniqlo store, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Just use the navigation.

[Room] Not big, clean and tidy, with slippers. Breakfast starts at 7:30, buffet, on the terrace, with a view. I got the best seat on the last day. I love the ham and salami here. [Location] It takes one kilometer to walk from the train station. It's not close, but it's very safe. Opposite is the Prime Minister's Office. There are police cars and policemen parked at the door of the hotel every day. It's very close to the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, and a little distance to the Colosseum. [Conclusion] Highly recommended.
